Bisq (aka “Bitsquare”) is not to be missed for the more technically advanced. A decentralized p2p platform that keeps you super safe. Over 60 crypocurrencies can be traded and you can even purcahse btc using a bank transfer, escrow, & trusted 3rd parties.
A friend has recommended the Canadian exchange “Quadrigacx.com” for the sale of the main cryptos (including Bitcoin Gold). Surprisingly. they require NO verification for the cashing out of cryptos. Their interface is clear and simple.
First thing to consider when looking for the top bitcoin exchange is how safe are the website and server. This boils down to asking: is it a trustworthy exchange providing transparent data of coins in cold storage (more on this later) and are customers happy? It’s also good to lookout for which currency pairs are available: are you looking to trade bitcoin for USD, Euros, or other fiat currencies. The location usually gives an idea of what’s on offer. However, the largest bitcoin sites usually have many options for buying bitcoin with government issued currency and altcoins.
Coinbase and Robinhood were founded around the same time about five years ago and are part of a small crowd of fintech startups with valuations exceeding $1 billion. Coinbase, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, makes money by charging the buyer and seller a fee. It’s easy to see why Robinhood wants in on the action. While Robinhood added more than 300,000 accounts in November and now has more than 3 million users, Coinbase has grown more rapidly, to more than 13 million as of late last year.
Yes it is but in my opinion day trading won’t give so much profit if that’s what you intend to have because much of the biggest pump in crypto currencies happens in a matter of weeks and months. Day trading is like you are practicing a timing trading which you buy every time it drops and sell whenever it increases or pump though there’s really a profit from this I would suggest long term holding so that you can maximize your earnings
One of the Blockchain projects it has partnered with is Bluzelle, a Singapore-based Blockchain protocol targeting the deployment of decentralized Internet. Bluzelle, known for its swarm technology that enables groups of nodes to store tiny pieces of information, has already built Blockchain-based applications for many of the world’s large conglomerates such as Microsoft, HSBC, MUFG, KPMG, and ZagBank.
I have built my cryptocurrency portfolio using a risk-reward formula that is acceptable to me. You’ll have to decide how much risk you want to take on and that should influence which coins you invest in.
The moves follow warnings by South Korean authorities that they might ban anonymous trading in cryptocurrencies and crack down on speculative trading. Regulators are seeking to prevent use of crypto currency trading for money laundering, tax evasion and other crimes.
So, how we can avoid those mistakes in our trading? How to be mostly on the green side? First, it is important to note that to trade right requires attention and your one hundred percent focus. Secondly, trading is not for everyone. The following tips are easy to internalize because these tips were “written in blood” (my own blood). However, it’s still difficult to apply them in real-time. After all, we are not rational human Order Book shows a live view of open orders on the entire Coinbase exchange, in what’s called an order ladder. There are three columns that show the market size, price and order size of each order. You can click any row and it will fill in the buy/sell price for you automatically in the left sidebar. Once you confirm the order, it will immediately show up on the order ladder and attempt to get filled.
The advantage of the Coinbase system, however, is that it is more simple, instant, and your order is guaranteed to fill, in exchange for a higher fee. On the GDAX market, the “maker” order is free, but you risk the order not getting filled and having to set a new price.
I don’t know. Applying the same metrics used above to $ETH it does pretty well, but not as well as Bitcoin. But there are clear risks and as a result I am underweight in Ethereum compared to its share of the global Cryptoasset Market Cap.
This is an old saying in the stock-trading scene, which is also valid in the cryptocurrency-trading-world! We are going to post our latest trades, suggestions and technical analysis on our Bitcoin blog, but you should not limit yourself only to us. Other sources are twitter hashtags for the given coin and crypto-forums like reddit for example.

When someone buys cryptocurrency from a centralized exchange — I’m going to stick with Bitcoin (BTC) as an example — they swap fiat money for the nominated BTC. But that coin doesn’t get sent to the customer. If it’s bought from a non-exchange seller, then it comes into the exchange’s own wallet, and gets held there. A ledger entry is made, and the customer gets an IOU. If the seller is on the same exchange platform, no BTC even needs to be shifted, the exchange simply changes its accounts to note one less BTC for the seller, one more for the buyer.
There’s def a lot of risk in crypto trading, but imho, with banking collapses, and major stock market volatility (July 2014 to now), and bubble economics, longer term investments aren’t bullet proof anymore. And mid-term trading is dangerous as well. This is just a beast that one must learn to know well before diving in..
I, for one, found this article fascinating. While I agree with some of the commenters words of warning, I also realize this is a new market and the chance to make money in new markets before the unwashed masses pile in is something an adventurous man embraces. Like the Taipans of yesteryear, we’ll learn along the way and develop some mastery.
Now my account is negative almost – $5500 I can not do nothing the answer from my account manager was that hi losed more than me, hi wrote my that hi has to pay the over draft and if I want to revert the situation I have to made something on my side “a new deposit”.
In the beginning when I was shooting for 20% gains on a trade and not knowing what to look for, I worked a lot more. Not only that but I also let my emotions control my trades. For example, I once purchased Stratis after the price dropped massively. My assumption was that on such a sharp decrease in price, it had to rebound eventually. I was wrong. The price kept diving. I had to hold the currency for 2 weeks just to secure a 35% loss instead of an 85% loss. I was constantly tuned into that chart waiting for an opportunity to sell back to Bitcoin.
Yes you are correct – right now there is no hard wallet that can hold every coin. As for checking if a coin is based on ERC-20 tech, I don’t know of a fast way to do this, I normally just google individually, but there is probably a database out there somewhere. Happy trading amigo!
