The Bitcoin network was eventually born in January 2009, with the release of the pioneer open source Bitcoin client and then the issuance of the first Bitcoins. The first block of Bitcoin ever, referred to as ‘genesis block’ with a reward of 50 Bitcoins, was mined by Satoshi Nakamoto.
On top of that, the cryptocurrency market travels at lightspeed compared to other markets. New coins enter the market on a daily basis (in 2016, there were about 550 different coins, today there are about 1,500), and each one has news every day. I’m not doubting your ability to consume and analyze news, but that level of information bombardment will always be more effectively consumed as a group. In these communities, you’ll see members link news and relevant articles about coins you’ve invested in and coins you’ve never heard of. The community will definitely expand your knowledge much faster than doing it all yourself.
If it is so risky to invest through the use of ICOs, then why is on the rise and why are so many people trying to make a profit this way? Many predict that the boom in ICO sales is primarily due to the huge amount of return that was made by the early Ethereum adopters, making ICOs seem pretty desirable.
Day trading of cryptocurrency is unpredictable job and the technical analysis some times also does not work here, you can check history of daily chart in some coin like NXT and Verge. So in my opinion to become long term trading is more easy and more profitable. Just buy and hold some coin that has strong in fundamental and just look the price move and when the price reach 5-10 times profit sell it partially.
One advice I’d give beginner traders is to avoid falling for ICOs, or Initial Coin Offerings, in the short term and stick with the more established currencies like Bitcoin, Eurotheum and Litecoin. According to MarketWatch, an ICO is “a fundraising means in which a company attracts investors looking for the next big crypto score by releasing its own digital currency in exchange.” The ICO is similar to a initial public offering (IPO), but with a crypto twist and (as of now) no regulatory hoops to jump through.
I think the simplest place to buy, sell, and store coins is Coinbase (and our tutorial below will help you get set up with that), but you can only buy, sell, and store Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash on Coinbase. If you are serious about trading cryptocurrency, you’ll need another exchange like Coinbase’s GDAX, Bittrex, Binance, or Kraken (and you’ll likely want to find a wallet to store your coins in). See a top 5 list of cryptocurrency exchanges and the Best Bitcoin Exchanges ranked (those above are my picks).
Bitcoin was the first currency of its kind. Each transaction between Bitcoin users was designed in a peer-to-peer method, meaning that all transactions were direct and without an intermediary. Each transaction is then authenticated and verified multiple times by other computers on the network. The more time passes since the occurrence of the transaction, the more validated it becomes. It is estimated that once a transaction has been verified 6 times, its validity is equivalent to a 6 month old credit card transaction.
Why was it important to clear this up? Because I’m earning Bitcoin but my rent is paid in USD! I need to sell BTC for USD to pay my bills. Several things were on my mind the first time I had to do this.
A word about public ICOs (crowd-sales): Many new projects choose to make a crowd-sale where they offer investors an early opportunity to buy a share the project (tokens or coins) in what is meant to be a good price for the tokens.
Insofar as cryptocurrency is a secretive plot from the “powers-that-be”, the “powers-that-be” are suicidal. The proliferation of honest money will not end well for them (or it certainly won’t do them any favors).
The fact is that most Bitcoin and crypto currency auto traders are scams. Only rarely do we find an auto trading system that is legit. And even then, we would only recommend such a system to an experienced trader who is knowledgeable about technical and fundamental analysis.
Formerly known as Bitx, Luno is a bitcoin exchange and wallet provider, they only offer bitcoin trading and ethereum trading. Launched in 2013, their reach is massive, currently serving traders in over 42 countries. It has a lot of similarities as Coinbase, however only sticking to bitcoin reduces its draw for traders however the fact that they cover so many countries is a selling point. Alright, you asked for it, here’s a VERY BASIC breakdown of some of my top picks for 2018, these are just my opinions, this is not financial advice. Always do your own research. I am not responsible if you lose your house.

Remember, bitcoin transactions are stored publicly and permanently on a network, which means that anyone can see the balance and transactions of any bitcoin address. However, only the bitcoin exchanges and/or the parties involved in the transaction can attach the addresses to a real person. So for the most part, the transactions are anonymous.
People here seem to be against day trading. But whats the issue with buying a relatively stable currency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc) and just buying large quantities on the -5% to -20% days and selling on the same or next or couple of days leter when it hits +5% to +20% days.
Day trading on cryptocurrency exchanges can benefit traders who are looking for gaining extra profit for the turbulent movements on the cryptocurrency markets. Because of the high volatility that can be experienced on the bitcoin and altcoin markets, day trading can be a very profitable strategy for trading with cryptocurrencies.
Coinbase, for example, has an Instant Buy option but you must use a credit or debit card so the transaction can be authenticated instantly and they charge 3.99% per purchase, rather than the usual 1.49%.
Trend trading is conducted through extensive technical analysis which includes the analysis of both chart patterns and technical indicators. When a trend is indicated, a trader is better able to forecast where the price is likely to move, and by how much it might move. However, determining trends through technical analysis is not the single indicator for future price movements. Things like risk management and trading psychology must be taken into consideration as well.
What would be a good portfolio for a newbie today, I just keep losing with these popular Altcoins? Are you seeing just as much significant growth today (like doubling) as before with your portfolio? I need a fresh portfolio today that has just as much potential as the day when you had bought into your Altcoins. Can you also give an idea of the percentages of the spreads you mentioned in your wallet? Also, with the influx of coins/icos, do you think alot of coins will lose value and it will be harder to find the gem amongst the rocks?
If you are serious about cryptocurrency trading, I strongly recommend finding a mastermind group that suits your skill level and budget so that you can improve your knowledge, expose yourself to less risk, and gain access to news and tips before they hit the mainstream market – this is where the real money is to be made.
Note: It is EXTREMELY likely that these exchanges will also temporarily stop taking new members so my advice is; open an account, even if you don’t plan on using it you will then have the option. Check out this list of cryptocurrency exchanges for more info and options.
However, not every altcoin is a substitute or modification of Bitcoin. That means there are some altcoins that are not derived from Bitcoin’s open-source protocol; instead, they have created their own protocol and blockchains. Some examples of such altcoins comprise Ripple, NXT, Ethereum, Omnicoin, CounterParty, and Waves. Every altcoin has its own blockchain, wallets, and miners.
