Hey Will. Thanks for the helpful guide! I’ve just gotten into crypto and found this info extremely useful. Just a question regarding how you keep your alt coins safe. As far as I can tell, you can’t keep many of these alt coins on a Trezor hard wallet, so do you just use something like My Ether Wallet instead? Cheers mate! Here’s to a cracking 2018!!
The difference being that cryptocurrencies have ICOs, initial coin offerings, and any entity or group is able to launch it as an investment, while regular companies have IPOs, or initial public offerings.
Let’s get to the point, what in the world is an ICO? An Initial Coin Offering is a transaction type designed to help spur up and launch new cryptocurrencies and give them some traction. Essentially, it is a fundraising tool designed to boost the newly born currency into the online world. The idea is that you invest currently launched cryptocurrencies into the new currency you are favoring in an exchange for future cryptocoins of the freshly launched or to be launched currency. It’s somewhat simple: you give the launchers some Bitcoin or Ethereum and you get some of their future Unicorncoin, assuming those don’t exist yet.
The first reason is that 1% is manageable. Most cryptocurrencies are moving up and down by 1% every hour. The wild bull runs are hard to find, hard to time properly, and easy to go in the opposite direction where you lose a lot.
But it’s probably safe to say that increasing the number of people trading in crypto will boost investor confidence. Robinhood’s new app simplifies trading and tracking bitcoin and Ethereum, and further legitimizes digital currencies. Its fee-free service stands to introduce a brand new class of novice traders to the game, giving cryptocurrencies at least a temporary boost.
Cryptocurrency is more than just a bunch of digital numbers that people have decided to use as money. The technology that was brought forth by Bitcoin is essentially a decentralized public ledger system, known as the Blockchain. This cryptographic Blockchain technology is what makes Bitcoin, Litecoin, Darkcoin, and other Bitcoin-alternatives a “cryptocurrency.”
Cryptography has everything to do with coding to keep data secure. This term is not something new. The cryptocurrency is a virtual or better said digital asset that utilizes cryptography as its security measure. That makes it thus saver and makes it very hard to impossible counterfeit unlike regular bills and coins.
Actually not all of traders who make target profit daily because there are some types of traders are like scalper, daily traders, weekly traders and investors, and usually the traders who make target daily profit types scalpers and days traders of course they must stay on their computers. But everything depend on the traders them selves.
For myself, and most crypto traders, the goal is to increase the amount of Bitcoin we own. I don’t care about the US dollar, at least not directly. When I look at the price of a cryptocurrency, I look at it in terms of BTC. For example, right now the price of 1 ETH (Ethereum) is 0.049 BTC. My trades are based on that price, not the fact that 1 ETH is $304.
Once you’ve decided on a broker, got familiar with your platform and funded your account, it’s time to start trading. You’ll need to utilise an effective strategy in line with an efficient money management system to make a profit. Below is an example of a straightforward cryptocurrency strategy.
The ICON technology (ICX) is incredibly exciting because it aims to harbor the single largest decentralized global network. It aims to provide its users a certain degree of connectivity between countries and cultures around the world that’s currently just not possible or non-existent. This network gives way to businesses and individuals to communicate, transfer, deposit, and in many different ways cooperate with each other in a never seen before way. ICON shows extraordinary potential for the future, but it’s already boasting a large community made of reputable security institutions, banks, hospitals, insurances, universities and institutions in many other sectors. Crucially, ICON is NOT yet tradable in South Korea – when that changes I expect this coin to moon.
Don’t evade taxes. You might be trading on an exchange that doesn’t report to the IRS or you might want to take advantage of the lack of regulation in the space. As the market cap of crypto increases, be sure that the IRS is going to find out how to get their slice. And they will look into the past.
Tsang added that the explosive growth rate of the Hong Kong cryptocurrency market fueled by the migration of investors from the mainland to Hong Kong led local cryptocurrency exchanges to expand at a rapid rate, as seen in the rise of OKEx and Huobi.
With cryptocurrency exchanges all over the world, there can be significant movement in currencies around the clock. As I pointed out earlier, because there is no single market, and the markets never close, there are events taking place all time that cause fluctuations in prices. Even within a single country, events on different exchanges can result in significant pricing differences on the same currency.
First of all, the information is not even close to evenly distributed. We’re all playing with partial information and a fog of war. Even worse, we all have varying degrees of ability to process that information. Meaning all of us are kind of stupid. If you’re not that bright, it doesn’t matter how much info you have, you won’t be able to do shit with it. Go directly to Dunning-Kruger and do not pass go.
Too many people look at day trading as a way to fast and easy money, faster than working or regular investing, and that’s not the case at all. Day trading is simply a job, you do the job everyday and make a little money everyday, and over time that money adds up.
Edit: It should be noted that many people involved in the trade of crypro assets either buy and hold for extended periods of time, or supplement their trading with the assistance of market-prediction algorithms (research “bot/algorithm trading”). While you can still be successful day-trading cryptocurrencies, there’s a real possibility that you could be going up against machines programmed to beat you. Best of luck!
Predicting what will happen next in the crypto market is usually a fool’s errand — the price of bitcoin just vacillated from a little more than $11,400 down to under $7,000 and back up to $10,200 over the course of a month.
