If it is so risky to invest through the use of ICOs, then why is on the rise and why are so many people trying to make a profit this way? Many predict that the boom in ICO sales is primarily due to the huge amount of return that was made by the early Ethereum adopters, making ICOs seem pretty desirable.
Lol well don’t we have a little Dogecoin defender on our hands. Sorry bud, but Dogecoin started as a joke and it will continue to be a joke. All cryptos serve a purpose in the sense that they can and hopefully will be an official alternative to a centralized monetary system. However, there are also coins out there that were designed for a specific purpose. For instance, PotCoin was designed to be other official currency for the Pot industry. It’s already accepted by over 3,000 dispensaries nationwide and growing. Mazacoin was created as the official currency for the Traditional Lakota Nation. Those are just a couple examples out of a bunch. Dogecoin, however, started as a joke and will continue to be a joke unless they step up their game.
I first started writing about cryptocurrencies in 2013, and mined Bitcoin from my laptop that year. I also had the pleasure of being quoted by Minyanville for an analysis in my article titled, Bitcoin Arbitrage, Scalping Market Inefficiencies, and Currency Market Share Gradual Shift, which appeared on Yahoo Finance.

A good example of what you stand to earn with an ICO is the case of Bitcoin. When Bitcoin was launched in 2009, it was sold at about $0.008/BTC but now it has risen to over $5,000/BTC, which is over 1 million % appreciation in just about 9 years. Do you know of any other investments in the world that can yield that kind of profit? That’s one good reason why investing in ICOs has the potential to make you a millionaire in a short period of time.
Hold, hold, hold! – Today, I finally sold $15,000 of a coin I had been trapped in for over a year. It spiked from 20 cents a coin to 45 cents a coin bam! – I dumped that motherfucker at a healthy profit (I had been in since it was half a cent a coin). I knew this coin would eventually spike so I held, and I waited.
BTC can be traded 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. There are no official exchanges that are tied to time or have a weekend or public holidays. There is also no official course and official price. All this creates just perfect conditions for arbitrage;
I learned early that there is nothing new in Wall Street. There can’t be because speculation is as old as the hills. Whatever happens in the stock market today has happened before and will happen again. I’ve never forgotten that
The Depth Chart right below the Price Chart shows a detailed visual representation of the bid and ask prices over a range of prices. You can increase or decrease the price range for the chart by using the plus or minus buttons at the top of the chart. The price in the middle of the chart is the midpoint price between the best bid and ask prices. Moving the cursor over the prices will allow you to select a price in which you can create an order. Clicking the price will fill in the buy/sell price for you automatically in the left sidebar. This chart is a useful to see how close buyers are from sellers in their ask/bid prices; the greater the surface area under the curve, the more bids there are at that price.
Many of today’s coins will die off, and the ones that survive will be colossal in significance, similar to the way Amazon emerged from the shadows of the dotcom bust in 2001. If you don’t believe this core thesis, this article might not be for you, but I’d love to hear from you.
In crypto, value investing means not buying a bunch of shit coins. ICOs happen all the time and new coins pop onto the market, promising great returns. Some of them will deliver one day. But most of those coins will go to nothing in the next few years.
It’s not unsurprising you are having issues with Coinbase, as you say their customer service is non-existent. I don’t see why you cannot open an account because you have moved to New Mexico. I know the New Mexico regulation and Licensing Department recently put out a press release warning people about cryptocurrencies but haven’t banned it as far as I’m aware. Kraken should give you access in the US, as well as Poloniex.
Currently, all currencies are traded against Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), with Tether (USDT) recently coming onto the scene. If you don’t already own any of these currencies, you’re going to need to purchase some on an exchange. Here’s a list of exchanges where you can convert US dollars to BTC or ETH.
You should then sell when the first candle moved below the contracting range of the previous several candles, and you could place a stop at the most recent minor swing high. It’s simple, straightforward and effective.
Binance is popular for supporting a wide range of cryptocurrencies. You can easily find the most popular ones including Bitcoin, Litecoin, ETH, and so on. Other coins that Binance supports are as follows:
Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin have enjoyed some of the highest returns in modern investment history (Litecoin +1,762.97% since last year), so there’s really no reason not to trade them. If you’re patient and disciplined, you will have a good shot at making money, or at least have some fun trading.
Don’t put more than you can afford to lose on the exchange. Pull winnings into stable non exchange wallets and pull cash out regularly to pay back the initial investment. You never know when everything might head south so pull money when you can.
Note** The above was an example of a buy trade… Use the same rules – but in reverse – for a sell trade. In the figure below, you can see an actual SELL trade example, using the best Bitcoin trading strategy.
