In the early periods of ICO campaigns, the early backers of the project are given a particular percentage of the cryptocurrency in exchange for other cryptocurrencies or fiat currencies. A lot of the ICOs now accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, or USD for payment for their coins.
Deposit & Withdrawal fees – This is how much you’ll be charged when you want to deposit and withdraw money from the exchange. You’ll often find it’s cheaper to deposit your funds. Also keep in mind some exchanges don’t allow credit cards. Using debit/credit will usually come with a 3.99% charge, a bank account will usually incur a 1.5% charge.
Welcome friends, to this one-of-a-kind, masterful analysis, brought to you by the magician of the charts! I’ve got to get this out quick, because the breakdown is starting to happen. The benefit of a USD wallet on Coinbase is that you can put money in that and then buy coins instantly from the wallet. If you try to buy directly with your bank account, the transaction can take about a week. A credit card doesn’t have this problem, but limits are usually lower on a credit card. You can also wire money if you need the funds to be in the wallet faster. On that note, I almost always then use GDAX to buy/sell coins when I’m on a desktop (then use Coinbase as my wallet and mobile app).
